From the 1st. of March, 2022, THE VACCINE AGAINST COVID-19 IS NOT NECESSARY
What we need before the flight to Israel:
1. - A health insurance policy with coverage for the treatment of COVID-19 is required. The insurance policy is mandatory to enter Israel.
2.- Valid passport with a range of six months validity at the time of departure.
The Department of State has a Traveler Enrollment Program under the acronym:
S.T.E.P. It is a free service and is available for anyone to sign up on their own. The information you provide allows the US Embassy to contact you in the event of an emergency. You'll also receive the latest travel advisory updates from the closest US Embassy or Consulate to where you're traveling.
(NOTE; ONLY AMERICAN CITIZENS CAN USE THIS PROGRAM)
In April 2021, the US Department of State reported that the passport renewal process could take up to 12 weeks, up from 4-6 weeks previously. Make sure to update your passport in plenty of time before you travel. In most countries it is requested that the passport be valid for more than 6 months, taking as reference the date of return from the pilgrimage.
